Get to know Mrs. Gray :)
Welcome to computers! I am a 1995 graduate of Rowan University. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education grades K-8. I am married and have 2 sons. I began teaching with the East Greenwich Township School District in 1995. I taught third grade for 12 years and then moved to the computer lab. I am now the Technology Coach for the district and am responsible for technology integration and training. I love teaching with technology; it is always changing, improving and expanding! I love my job because every day is a new adventure and I get to share my love of technology with our entire district! My philosophy for education is acceptance, flexibility, respect and communication. All of these components are key to a productive learning community. Each and every child has something unique to offer!
I work in both buildings with all of our staff. I push into classrooms to teach and assist with lessons as needed. The links on my website are in coordination with New Jersey's Core Curriculum Content Standards for technology. All web sites are reviewed to ensure security and safety prior to the children's use. They explore cyber safety, etiquette, digital citizenship, digital footprints, copyright, internet based collaborative projects, social media, computer programming and coding, internet research and scavenger hunts, and various areas connected to the classroom curriculum. Students should also work on building speed and accuracy in keyboarding. As a Google School District I also train and assist with all aspects of G Suite for Education. For the past two years, I have also served as the district's English Language Learners Services Provider. Check back frequently for added links and always feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.
